Coleman Self-Inflating Camping Sleeping Pad - Lightweight & Comfortable Air Mattress for Backpacking, Hiking, Travel - Perfect for Outdoor Adventures & Guest Bedding

I bought this product as an open box item. I received one pad that had clearly been removed out of the box and did not appeared to be used. I tested it out in my living room and found it to be comfortable enough and sufficient to insulate from the ground. Sadly the first campout I used it on a seam let go. The seam did not show signs of being torn and looked like the glue just let go. Coleman was very friendly and covered the pad under warranty. I will continue to be proud to support Coleman.This is a steal of a deal for this pad. It worked great for camping and also for hosting visitors at home. Quick and easy to roll out. Provides great padding for kids, young adults. It is also a great length, fits most sleeping bag sizes. The pad has straps that are attached for easy storage.This self-inflating pad is nice. It takes a while to inflate but you can always set up your tent, open the valve to let it inflate, and then go set up camp fire and dinner while inflating.For me, because I am a bit on the heavier side and I am used to softer mattresses, this pad is a little bit thin for me; despite that, I still had a good night sleep without damaging my injured-too-many-times back. Definitely recommend if you have a healthy back or if your mattress at home is not soft.Not what is pictured, but since I read the reviews, and almost every one said what they received was not what was pictured, I was expecting that. I have attached pictures of what you will actually get. It is a Coleman pad, with no pillow and only 1.25 inches in height. Surprisingly this makes a huge difference in comfort even lying on the floor. I bought this to add to a camp cot, so I'm confident it will be sufficient. It doesn't seem to self inflate fully, but 6 or 7 puffs into the valve, and closing it WHILE STILL BLOWING will do the trick. It is fairly easy to deflate, just open the valve and compress with the knees while rolling. If you sit on the pad once it is rolled and close the valve to prevent it reinflating, it is then easy to use the straps to compress it fully.They are a solid three-star product. They do what they're designed to do (take up less floor space, pack away well) while providing better comfort than laying on the ground. That said, they're nothing exceptional. My traditional air mattresses roll up smaller (though they weigh more) and provide more comfort (as expected). I would expect that these are better if paired with something like a cot.For camping purposes, this is a good price and a fairly comfortable pad. The seller was prompt in the process.An easy solution to a pad for my camping cot. Inexpensive, light weight, and quick packing up.It is comfortable pad, but is not good as advertised or described on the box.On the box, it said "1.5 inch" height, but actually , it is only about 1.1 - 1.2 inch height.I open the valve, let air go into it , close valve , and roll the pad and push the air to the far end; open air valve , close valve, roll and push air to far end again. 3 - 4 times , ( I saw it from youtube). but finally, it is only 1.1 -1.2 inch height , not 1.5 inch.If you care about the height , you should consider others .And, yes, picture is totally wrong ! this one doesn't have pillow.I have had two of these camp pads for two seasons now. Both are still working great. The "self inflating" function is not the best, and now to get the pads to the right level of softness to sleep on requires about five breaths through the valve... which is nothing to complain about (plus I store them rolled up, which has probably affected the self-inflate too). Not to big that they are inconvenient to pack around, but small enough that they fit into the sleeping pad sleeve in the back of our sleeping bags. Very nice.I have found this to be very, very, very slow self inflating. When I received them I left them over night - almost 24 hours and I still have to finish the inflation manually. That was in a warm controlled environment. When we camped in February in -25 degree weather, they were hopeless with the self inflating.BUT once inflated they are the perfect addition to our hard camp cots. Very comfortable and remained inflated for the whole long weekend. Deflation is easy, turn the knob and roll up, pushing the air out.Si lo que quieres es un colchón inflable para acampar y tener una mejor sensación al dormir en tienda de campaña, es tu mejor opción. Excelente calidad y resistencia, da la impresión de tener gran durabilidad si se cuidad debidamente. Califico con 4 estrellas porque pensé que sería un poco más ligero y menos espacioso. Si eres una persona que acampa llegando en algún medio de transporte al sitio de camping, es tu opción. Si planeas subir alguna montaña y llevar el peso y el espacio del colchón, tal vez recomendaría uno más ligero y de menor bulto.Estan de muy buen tamaño, aunque el tamaño guardado es un poco grande (pues solo se enrolla).Yo no se que es lo que esperaban las demas personas que calificaron de malo este producto... imagino que esperaban un colchon jaja... esto no es un colchon, es un pad (colchoneta) y de grosor llega a los 4mm mas o menos. Ese grosor, junto con el sleeping, aumentan muchisimo la comodidad, mas cuando se duerme en una superficie irregular (claro que si duermes con un tronco debajo lo vas a sentir), pero las irregularidades pequeñas dejan de ser un problema.De tamaño, son de los mas grandes que hay por ahi, asi que se puede decir que cubren un sleeping de cualquier tamaño. Hay otros mas pequeños y compactos, pero cuando quieres cubrir toda la superficie de tu sleeping, estos funcionan bien.Works well, very comfortable. Be sure to let it inflate a couple days the first time you unroll it- needs a little time to expand the first time. After that expanded quickly on its own. Much better temperature wise than an air mattress. Generous dimensions. Good on it's own, awesome on top a cot.
