these things last quite a while but eventually the velcro on the tips gets worn out and the paper won't stick there any longer. Then, it's time to replace them.Replacement was super easy (3 screws) and I was back to work in 3 minutes. With these items you should view them as long term consumables and probably keep some on hand for those tasks where nothing else will work (between chair slats, louvers, deep corners on chairs....). They are valuable time savers when you need them.
