If you own a pair of 5.11; Tru Spec; or, Propper tactical pants, these [English-imports] are the best you can buy.Nice and thick. Put them in, and forget about them; washable. Better than the USGI pads. They take awhile toarrive if you don't live in Europe. Thicker difficult to insert. More obvious and bulky than 5.11 pads. You wouldn'twear pants with these in unless you're an old-fart (DO help getting up off the floor [I'm 68]); or, work in the woods.Fit pretty well in the pocket. Very cushy. Unlike 5.11s, these are more like traditional knee pads. Since the outsideof my trousers protects them, I they will last longer than I will--- ha ha!I don't go anywhere in my doddering old age without overalls that include knee pads and I've tried several different brands. These are as good as I've found and priced right. I don't even bother to take them out when laundering. I've been using them for a couple of months now and they are still in good condition. The way they are segmented and bend is exactly what I kneed.I installed these pad inside of the pockets on the front of my Carhartts. I had to take out some stitching to get them to fit in the factory space. I have put them through one wash and dry cycle and the held together fine. They really pad the knees and make a difference.I used these pads in double front Carhartt logger jeans. I like how soft and cushy they are, but when I had to remove one, it tore in half at one of the folding pleats. As long as you don't need to take 'em out, they would be fine. They go through the washer and dryer just fine. One last observation: unlike solid foam pads, the folding pleats in these will cause your jeans to wear showing the outline of each pleat. Not a big deal, just how it goes. These didn't fit very well in my Carharrt pants knee pockets. But they are good and flexible and bend with your knee if you can get them in. I found them to be a little too thick though, causing my knees to want to roll off of them.Fantastic kneepads that are thick and cushion your knees. Bought them to go into my Tru Spec 24/7 pants for shooting. They fit in the pockets with ease, just have to fold in the flaps. They certainly are bulky because they're thick, but the articulated flaps make it so they're really quite comfortable.Works great in my TruSpec pants but it is difficult to insert and remove. They do look bulky enough that I don't leave them in all the time but they function well.Aging concrete contractor who uses these in tru-spec 24/7 pants so I never have to fetch knee pads or - as usually happens kneel without them. These fit the pants wel land are light enough to wear all day while still providing good cushioning. I have bought a second pair of both these pads and the pants.I work as a paramedic and also have a toddler and have recently been struggling with knee pain when kneeling down due to what I suspect is a prepatella bursitis which should eventually get better on its own but the pain when I kneel in just the right place is horrific. My work trousers have knee pad pockets so thought I’d give these a go.They’ve absolutely changed my work life. Can spend a lot of time kneeling when treating patients and sometimes it’s completely unavoidable but these pads make it really comfortable. The sponge is quite firm but under my full weight it distributes the pressure around the knee really well. They are a little smaller than the pockets and sit a little low but I’ve got into the habit of just hitching my trouser legs up slightly when I kneel down now and don’t even think about it anymoreNow I just need to find trousers with knee pad pockets to wear when chasing my son around or changing his nappy on my knees and I’ll be set!Note, the actual pads I received weren’t the same design as those pictured, they were the design of others available at a higher price, not sure if they’d just run out of those pictured and sent me better ones or if the pictures are just out of date for the stock they have.Very good quality knee pads. They are relatively thick, and provide ample support to the knees when kneeling. They do not offer the necessary protection to drop onto your knees - lower yourself slowly. The length of these knee pads and the too-low location of the knee pad pockets on my overalls also means they offer further protection to my shins when leaning on a ladder to reach the ceiling. The pads are slightly flexible around the joints to enable you to flex them slightly to place in pockets. They would be easy to trim down with a knife if necessary. After several weeks of use so far they have not yet degraded at all. While my dungarees didn't have the best access for these, once they were in they've been excellent. The pads were a little stiff for a few days e.g. while walking, but now I don't notice them when standing. When kneeling they help so much and are far less cumbersome than the ones I used to use external to the dungarees.I question how long these will hold up compared to some of the more expensive brands (the foam is starting to deform after just a few months) but to be fair to them they've saved my knees several times already when I've come down hard on rocky ground, I've even kneeled on tacks (accidentally) and only felt the slightest scrape through these.I might get another pair depending on how long these last.Ultimately you get what you pay for. Im using redbacks which far outstrip these pads, yet they do exactly what you need them to do for the price you pay. Ive had many pairs of these over the years and the life expecancy is about 2 months with regular use. Dont leave them in when washing.
